Hi all
After years of thinking about trying detecting as a hobby to get me out and about I've finally bought a Garrett ace 300i,,,and a shovel  Smiley been out twice so far both times to the old ww2 firing range in Newton porthcawl and my very 1st find was the classic pop can ring pull never ever did I think I'd get so excited discovering the top bit of a coke can!!! Did manage to find good few bullets so was great really enjoying it so far, since getting the detector and reading up I've found that the beach seems to be one of the few places I can legally detect from some of the stuff ive read I felt quite nervous detecting my own garden Smiley anyway I'm going to stick at it as so far so good really enjoyed the couple of times I've been out and if anybody near Rhondda is going out and fancies a newbie tagging along please get in touch,I'll even bring my shovel Smiley
