I had this cracking little Dobunic unit yesterday, I had been looking for a ring lost by a keeper in maise stubble, trouble is it is made of Titanium and Im not completely sure how the Deus will respond to its signal? any thoughts......Anyway I only had a few hours to spare and as I couldn't find the ring so I decided to pop in field next door which had just been cultivated and I'm glad I did......It's a (Cotswold Eagle)
The lovely little Roman came from a field above my medieval field and was a surprise especially in this condition.

The lead object turns out to be a Gaming Piece/Weight and dates to the Viking period...800-1066 AD.
