I remember finding this Roman grot last week and thinking at the time it was better signal than a normal grot, and appeared thicker, any way sorting through bits and pieces today I noticed it had heads on both sides and is in fact 2 coins corroded together.
This is a hoard coin for sure or at the very least a purse drop or deposit, and I feel there must be others close by. They could not corrode together unless there is more, so a more detailed search is called for to see if I can find a mother load..lol. Let you know how I get on, I just thought it would be intersting to show you.....Spikey Wink

Amazing how they have both ended up only showing the bust side showing, one left facing and one right facing, one saying "CON..." for the house of Constantine. Good luck for finding more,

Interesting Smiley

They date to the 320's.

I've had a few purse drops of 'modern' coins over the years - some are fused together, others just touching - and it always amazes me how the touching faces are sometimes completely uncorroded, even if the rest of the coins are shot!
