Keep banging them rocks together

Many thanks for all the efforts yesterday, It was good to speak to the familiar old faces.
A big thanks especially to Probono for the ID in the field.
I thought that this was a "cliped to death" halfgroat and to be told it was a Dublin penny really made my day.
and one of the best condition portraits Ive seen for a long time.
My 1st hammered Irish in all the years Ive been detecting.
Keep up the good work and I look forward to the next one.

It’s cleaned up great Ian. I looked at it yesterday (f/b) and didn’t think it was that good.
Lovely coin, well found.

Cheers guys.  It always amazes me the odds of finding such a small coin in a big field.  Undecided

Well done Ian, nice coin and I agree with your comment on the size of such a small coin in a large field...  Wink
