My guess is it's a brooch dating from late 16th to 17th century, as I've found quite a few finds from around that period in the same field. Any improvement on that, let me know  Grin

It certainly looks like a brooch, pin missing and def old. Wouldn’t like to argue on that point but it makes sense to tie in with other finds.
