Looks like an Anglesey token from Parys  mines to me. One side has a Druids head and the other PMC which stands for Parys mining company.

If you mean where do you find info just do a google search for parry’s mining token or check eBay. Always a few for sale.
If you mean where do you search to dig they’re likely to turn up anywhere. Have coin will travel  Grin
They were mining on Anglesea so more turn up in N/Wales

LOL
I meant the info.I sometimes can get my head around the knowledge of some of the members of the forum.
Sometimes I post it on the off chance of someone came across this stuff before and usually I get pretty accurate ID’s.
Thanks

Half the time, it is about having half an idea about what it might be before you look Smiley

So, once you have seen a few 18th century halfpenny tokens you can get an idea of size / weight - what they look like when they've been dug up for instance.

Then, in this case - the druids head is quite distinctive - whilst there were a few other people who issued coins with this design, it's usually Parys mine.

If there is something I can't identify, I use the above fuzzy logic to come up with some search terms and usually look at 'images' - this will either get me direct to the coin / token / object in question, or maybe provide a lead to improve my search terms.

And then I try and remember for the next time I see one......

Talking of knowledge, I’ve quite enjoyed watching some of the Oak Island series.
I think they could do with a few of the DW members over there. Now showing series 5 and as far as I can see they haven’t found anything like as much as we find on a bad day. Then they get everything analysed by experts !
Funny way of searching for treasure. 5 years and the best they’ve found so far is 1 whole and a quarter of a couple of Bronze Spanish Coins.
Wonder how much the pay the guy with the CTX 3030  Roll Eyes

I watched some of the series when I was in the states last - it makes me want to tear what's left of my hair out at times because they find so little and get stuff analysed to death.

I think Time Team would have had the whole thing wrapped up in three days.

Hey Andre. Yeah it's been a while. I try and get out most weekends if I can (wife & child permitting  Grin) You must have a few permissions if you work in the farming community 👍 Looks like rain this weekend though  Cry

Yes,you’re right,I’ve got a good relationship with my costumers, more land to detect than time.I try to rotate a few, some are barren, middle of nowhere but some do have potential but if it’s not the weather it’s family commitments or work or crops, struggle to find time to go out.
