Welcome to DW. Hope you like the place Smiley

The choice of a detector is related to where you want to detect / have permission and of course your budget.

You might also want to consider a second hand detector - that way if you find you don't like the hobby for whatever reason (some very strange people don't) - then you won't lose much.

There are some very easy to use detectors, some more complicated, some with LCD screens, some audio only, some heavy, some light.

Good luck with your choice of detector. You can always ask for opinions. Usually someone here has owned one or got one, whatever your choice.

Thanks for comments, I've been thinking about getting a Quest 40,or a Makro racer,I been told that both are good detectors.
I hope to detect on beach and farmland..so any thoughts on either detectors.
