I'm still hoping if I get either of the permissions I am working on over the water, then I'll have something to share Smiley......

Hello guys, yes like tom said ,you got to get out there if you want to try and find the goodies, lovely day we had ,very cold on the hands starting off,but once we got digging it was warm enough, had some great finds lovely to see tom digging his first silver unit and what an interesting coin it is,how the hell did they manage to make them back in them days, and no glasses lol,i got a job to see my detector never the detail on some of these little coins, here are a couple  of photos of my coins, cheers guys ,and thank you for your interesting comments,Ron Wink

That's a nice Roman coin! It commemorates Constantinople becoming the twin capital of the Empire around 330-335 AD

Some cracking coins there chaps. Unfortunately my three year old has scuppered my detecting trips for a short while until he can carry a spade!

Cheers

Ah - I took my then small boy detecting a few times - he usually tried to escape from any field he was in by climbing over hedges......and then lost the silver coin I gave him....nowadays (at 12) he says if I buy him a Deus he would be more interested in detecting again (when he doesn't have his head buried in electronics) - as the Makro Racer II I let him use he doesn't like! Good thing he hasn't clocked the CTX 3030 from detectorists yet......
