Any ideas on this, found in Worcester yesterday?
Measures 3.5cm, bronze with lots of guilding...... one of those finds which could me modern, medieval or even earlier.
Input appreciated
Cheers

The gilding looks too thick to be modern electroplated.....probably mercury gilded. I'm guessing 18 century.....

And my 2 penny worth.  At that size, given what I can see on the back, I’d say it most likely a button but maybe a mount.

Nice find.

You must have eyes like a seagull, are we looking at the front or the back?

T for Tony the Tiger!

Similar in design to a police lions head cape chain. Late Victorian. Have a look here.

Also the lions head was used on loads of everyday items - I have one in my living room on a copper basket.

I have seen Roman bronze ones before as well found on DW rallies, but this is not Roman.

Nice find though.
