Hi there David 995,Many thanks for your comments.
In answer to your question regarding the wearing of the waistcoat in Summer.
Yes it's perfectly fine, the Actually,as its designed to be worn in desert warfare situations.
It's very, very light and by virtue of its "Airtex"construction it stays very cool and comfortable.
I normally wear a t-shirt underneath and it allows me to comfortably detect for quite a few hours.
Thanks for your interest...and thanks for reading...Good hunting..👍

Hi Ian(Radnor bandit) many thanks for going to the trouble of putting up a photo of your "spade holder"...now it gives me a better picture of "how & what"...its also got me thinking as to how I can utilize it without using a belt !!!..it sure is a great idea for keeping your hand warm in those cold winter days ahead.
Many thanks once again....I will keep you posted if I come up with a variation on a theme !
Good hunting..👍

No problem Chris. I can take the holder off the belt and the rear loop fits snugly into my trouser waistband with a little light padding.

Hi ya Ron,i wouldn't know what to do without my braces !!.. LOL 😁..
I bought a pair of "wide American braces"Brilliant!!...go for ones that are button on,not clip on's..as they can come unclipped !!! Disaster in the middle of a good signal dig !! LOL 😁
Get your other half(no not Tom!!... LOL 😁..to sew on some sturdy buttons on your trousers..and hey presto !!..you will never have to loose your pants in the middle of the field again !!!..take care,...and good hunting (both)...👍
