Thanks for the accept! 
My name is Brian and am 56.  Am from the Scottish forum (spookily almost identical to this one!) and have only recently taken this up, been on 2 Scottsh forum rallies so far.
I am no stranger to NW though as I have been coming down to Anglesey about two or 3 times a year for about the last 25 years seeing as how my wife's family are from the island.

I have walked, climbed, fished, bird-watched and photographed all over the island and up in Snowdonia in that time and now I am hoping to do a wee spot of detecting too.  It will most likely be on beaches showing up in the Crown property map (seeing as I don't have any permissions) but given that the wife's extended family are everywhere, that may change!

Anyways, hopefully bump into someone from on here at the end of Oct/early Nov.
