Would I be right in thinking this is a crushed copper alloy walking cane band? Please correct me if I'm wrong  Smiley

Hi Simond,...A very nice find,so a big thumbs up👍... So a big thumbs up for a great bit of detection.
Yes it could very well be a walking cane band, and it does have a pewter or silver look about it,could it have been off a dagger sheath ?..!!!!

I'm intrigued as to the pattern,it looks as though the design is very old,it will also be very interesting to see what other members have to say about it
In essence,a very nice find indeed,so congratulations... and continued good hunting..👍
