Keep banging them rocks together

« on: July 21, 2017, 03:51:11 PM »

Had a week in Yorkshire last week and by kind permission of the camp site farmer I was given permission to have a dig.
Totally stunned to find this within an hour.
Farmer was kind enough for me to keep it as long as it's recorded
Now off to the FLO with it.
Bronze age Yorkshire type socket axe.
Just had to share the clod shot.

Fantastic find - glad you got some detecting in Cheesy

My in-laws live just over the border in County Durham and have yet to help me find any permission in 19 years......mother-in-law was president of the histerical (sic) society so thinks that all metal detecting is bad........no just some people's attitude towards it.....
