Sunday was another memorable day worthy of mention in the Tom and Ron detecting journal.  We revisited the farm where we found 15 Roman coins and Rons lovely Jetton a few weeks previous.  We guessed we would probably find a few more Romans but were surprised when we beat our Roman coins record.  We ended the day with 18 Roman coins and what I believe to be a mans silver Coin Ring.  I can just make out the word crown and a 1921 date?  The ring is initialled TT or JJ.   The search area was confined to new game cover as the rest of the fields are in crop, but soon the crops will be harvested and we will have a much larger search area.  Fingers crossed!!  (and hope the weather is a bit cooler).  Happy Digging!!!  Tom.

Thanks for the lovely comments guys.  I've noticed that a few fields of wheat/barley have already been harvested, so charge your batteries and clean your boots, it's detecting time!!!  Happy Digging!!  Tom.
