Livery buttons are hard to ID I read there are something in the region of 17 thousand recorded designs.
Yours is a good example though so maybe you'll get lucky. The initials are clear CMS but I can never work out what order they should be in. There is one site I've used as a starting point for ages and it's quite good. Have a look for Livery Buttons Identified. There's a good section on Monograms and Initials.
the area it was found in can be a good clue as well. Look for any prominent local families around the 1800's that might fit the initials.

Well done on the ID Marc  have you thought about contact them, they're still in operation. The current MD is Johnathan Jones-Pratt and he seems to be well into things past, as in preservation. He could be interested in your button.
