Went today for a couple of hours to the field where I found the coinweight and amongst other things I found this little,fragile thing.
Also could you Id the copper coin,never found one so big.
Is it the cartwheel?

the first one is a james the first halfgroat in really nice nick as well. the second one i'm afraid is not a cartwheel but a george the third penny from the soho mint.

The top coin looks like a James 1st. hammered 1/2 groat. 1604-1619.
second coinage, not sure of the bottom coin sorry

Cheers guys,I had a look at the spinks and it's Stuart,James I,trefoil mint mark,probably 1613,I still find it difficult to use the book.
It came out of the field perfectly flat,so tiny

whats the weight of the 2nd coin? if its close to an ounce, then its likely to be a cartwheel!!

Interesting to see you recover such a small coin Andre; well found m8. I hear tell that, as machines improve, people are finding more smaller and cut coins.

Thanks mate.
The coin is really tiny and thin but gave a belter of a tone,not very deep,the soil was turned last year and never detected.
