I went out on Friday to one of my permissions and found some interesting bits some of them already posted on the site. I found this penallta colliery token in the ground and would like any information out there as to what it was used for. It had the number 352 on the one side. Was this someone's id token ?? If it was I'd like to reunite it with its owner if still alive or maybe a family member would like to have it.

If anyone knows of any groups from the colliery I'm happy to give my number so they can contact me.

I might be wasting my time but thought it could be a nice thing to do.

Thanks

Thanks mate, I hope I can get some contact from someone who worked at the colliery. The face book page doesn't have any contact numbers and you can't leave messages either.

hi s12aun,its somebody's lamp check by the look of it,you take the lamp off its charger and put the check on the hook above  the charger,so they know that your in and you've had your lamp, and then you pick it back up when you come up the pit and put your lamp back on charge, hope that helps, Wink
