Been out today on a new permission, pasture,it was boiling and the soil rock hard but still gave it a go.The coppers came out with a good patina, chuffed with the florin and the six pence, they were my first ones so I wanted to show them.
On my other permissions the coppers came all destroyed.Theres a little bracelet and a little brass poppy shaped thing and some copper wire wond up with more wire,
Does anyone know what vintage they are, thanks

The coiled wire looks like a phone wire joint, from the days when bare copper
wires and insulators were used. Looks more railway telegraph than GPO.

It looks a lot older than telegraphic wires,I've seen pictures of roman bracelets with windup bronze wire.the permission is near a roman tile factory,so I'm hoping to find stuff of that vintage.
I've never found a roman coin anywhere
