Couple of toasted coins for myself aswell guys.certainly think the farm has good potential but the ground was very hard sadly.at the very least I would say the number of coins that did come out shows promising signs of activity Smiley

Good to hear he is generally Interested in the history and is happy to have us back later in the year. Will was kind enough to donate his younghead viccy  groat which was greatly appreciated. We have opened up new windows with that permission and hopefully word will spread around the area.

Last off again lol.....plenty of old buttons and toasted coins, some interesting old lead too....plus a generous dose of fertiliser pellets as the wind caught the plume from the tractor spreader....think I've grown a bit taller !!

Lovely day out shame the ground was toasted. Had some lead bullets, buttons and fee coppers. Definitely more to be found once ploughed

I spoke to the farmer before the dig and he told me that them two fields had been ploughed every year for the past six years, I think he must use a lot of fertiliser on his fields looking at the state of what came out. Must g o as the sun is out here in Spain lol

upon closer inspection, one of my lead curiosities appears to be a stylus...but of what age I do not know.
Seen almost identical ones dated as Roman to Medieval, also found one image of a similar stylus bent in exactly the same way....found it amongst the leady area in middle of north field....or have I got it wrong?
