Nicely found. Don't you just love those half crowns. I've had several but haven't found one for ages. If only all coins gave a signal like them  Roll Eyes

Nice finds m8. I always loved the old half-crowns. With one of those in my grubby mitts, as a small child, I used to think that I was into big pocket money. Even more so than a two bob piece!

Were they beach or pasture finds?

Pasture finds, the 2 crowns where about 10ft apart and the shilling about another 20ft away all in a massive field approx 10 acres.
I will get some more pics of the shilling later and post them.

It looks like you are starting to become more comfortable with the Safari on pasture and your finds rates should now start to increase somewhat. I found the Minelab Quatro & Safari Handbook by Andy Sabisch to be a great help in understanding the machine. The handbook sits on my bookshelf along side my copy of Advanced Detecting by Norfolk Wolf and I frequently return to reading of both books.

Can't get out just at the moment due to ill health. Not to worry too much; I should be back in harness by the start of next month.

Nice day out - I've only ever found those half crowns one at a time (managed one just before Easter Smiley ).

By the size of it that shilling might be a sixpence - it just seems a little small against the halfcrown - will have to check mine!
