yes, from day 1....I like the light coming on straight away when charger is connected to coil.....otherwise no difference for me, the oscilloscope screen option is of little use(except coin shooting) as the Deus is an audio detector and the negative discrimination is for ceramics and meteorites! likewise the HF coils are for gold nugget detecting or searching in very very contaminated ground (might be good for gold chains on the beach)...but I guess the Mi6 pinpointer would be excellent and I might well get one. but they are silly money.
ive heard a lot of people have had issues with coils going off line after update...but that seems to have been sorted now.
Tracking is supposed to be better, but I never use it, and the 2.5 discrimination seems a bit pointless.

I totally agree with Myke. I updated my Deus from V3 to V4 from u tube before it was officially released so I had 3 weeks searching prior to its release..... Grin The day it was released I updated from Deus site no difference and no harm done lol. The XY screen is to mind mind a waste of time I call it Etch- A-Sketch drives me mad... Having had lots of time on my medieval and Roman sites with V4 there was no advantage over V3
I will say having searched with a mate who Beta tested the new HF coil it was very good on small signals then so is my V3....the new probe is as Myke said exspensive and does what the Garretts do....Just my opinion as an experianced Deus... Wink

I waited for the official release and had no problems with the V-4 set up.

Just to change the subject a little I have been loaned a friends MI-6 wire free probe to set up for her as she had problems.

The idiots guide print is very small, but I got there in the finish.

Seems to work ok and is very versatile.

I dont get as exited as some folks with a new toy..

I must say that XP have packed a lot into the new probe.

The lost probe location is a good idea as there have been a few traditional probes lost in the past.

Happy Hunting,

Jerry.

notice when using the v4 deep program when i switch on pinpointer garret carrot the Deus picks it up and hear a pulsing  sound bit annoying after a while. had a few 12" 13" targets though parts of cans you never know
