I finally managed to get out for a couple of hours over the weekend and found a few bits and bobs, modernish coins etc. but nothing out of the ordinary. When I got home I sorted out the 'scrap' and was about to throw this item in the bin when I took a closer look. I think it's probably from a walking stick perhaps but strangely it had my name on it Shocked What are the chances of that?

There are times when fate makes your hair stand up.
2 or 3 years ago I was 'tecting on a local beach, had a good signal, stuck the spade in and as I bent forward a chocolate Labradors head appeared in front of me. The owner was apologetic but I said, no problem, she's the spit of the one I lost the year before. We compared  notes and they went on thier way. I returned to my dig and fetched out.......

Wow, now that really is spooky Val, and, as you say, it makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up... what are chances of these things happening? It would be interesting to hear if others had had similar weird findings while detecting.

I could bury it again Myke and leave a note with it for the next Trevor   Wink  I was also thinking that it was a sign that I should buy a lottery ticket but perhaps the other Trevor or Trefor would win and I would never know   Cheesy

I've been a member of the Forum since 2010 and can't remember any of our members reporting finding anything like your purse.
There are several clubs in around South and S/West Wales. Most have a web site.
If it didn't get washed out by the tide it might have been picked up and pocketed.
Very sad but not everyone sticks to the letter of the law.
