Found this today on my permission, went there for just over an hour after work. Its been raining quite heavy and it's so muddy everywhere. The grass is getting high and I am loosing land every week😕
Waiting for the plough...
I think I discarded something today stupidly, amongst a lot of ferrous targets I had this target that i went after and after much plug splitting I found this bit of twisted wire like copper electric wire about 2inches long.I was looking at a book of artefacts at home and I saw some roman twisted wire jewellery and my heart sunk because what I found could have been gold!I should've double checked.I take all the junk with me and chuck it in a corner of the field under a edge so I don't go over it again.Probably was copper but who knows.Gutted with myself

If it was gold you would have known, it will not corrode.
