Hi Folks
On a recent outing Ron found what is a fabulous Comux gold stater, well, yesterday me and Ron were out again and would you believe it! Gold again! Only this time it was me that uncovered a nice 1851 Vicky Half Sovereign.  It was only about 2'' under the turf and gave a poor, though just about diggable, signal on the Deus.  We also found lots of halfpennies, pennies and a lovely Bullhead silver shilling. Photos attached.  (perhaps none of Rons at the moment as his computer is on the blink)
We must have got the gold fever!!! When your luck's in eh!

Thanks folks, gold is wonderful and I would still like to find some Roman like you do Paul,  I've not had a whole Fibula or the like as yet.   Maybe next time!!!
