With both my MineLab Safari and my Garrett EuroAce, I finished up with three coils for each. The stock coil that came with the detector, a small coil that could get me into tight spots, and a large coil that appeared to give me slightly deeper finds and helped to discover small items in areas that I had swept before.

Not sure about the Mars coil but I have found that my Safari becomes hard work with the Nel Big Coil attached and I eventually had to incorporate the use of a bungee, or curtail the number of hours spent swinging the machine. Mind you; I was having to reduce the number of hours spent detecting due to the stress on my lower back and hips anyway.

For my beach detecting, having disposed of my C-Scope CS4PI and put the EuroAce on the back burner, I dig fewer iron targets and the targets that I do dig are recovered using a long handled sand scoop.

Have you checked Mars prices on the internet and on Ebay specifically.

Yes I did check the prices and for second hand they are on par with the shop, they have a sef coil there as well.
Looks like some local guy is trying to pack in with the hobby.I will probably give it a go.

The Detech 13" ultimate is also a popular coil with many detectorists.

Hi Andre,.... Regarding a larger coil, take a look at the Mars TIGER coil...Ifound that when I used one on the MACRO RACER...It was a vast improvement on the Mars stock coil, plus, you never need to worry about coil covers cracking, the coil doesn't need them...Well reccommended....Good Hunting...👍
