Love it Alan - sounds like its not modern gold items.

Keep us updated if you see more about it.

There was a stash found in a clock last year and I saw on YouTube a man in America found a load in a false drawer when he bought an old chest of drawers. Should start buying some antique furniture me thinks.

Always have a good look inside anyfink! Old books often often have bank notes, love letters, marriage lines, and all sorts of paper keepsakes hidden within their pages. Some years ago I worked with an Australian guy who kept all his spare paper money inside an old radio battery compartment. Skippy walked into the house one day and asked his wife if she had seen the old radio; he couldn't find it. Oh, that old thing, I threw it in the skip!  Shocked

He did get the radio back, and all his money was still inside it but then his wife knew all about his stash.  Grin
