Hi again Mark, with regards to going "wireless"...I'm going to hang on another couple of months, apparently , GARRETT are bringing out a brand new set up for 2017,and it's going to be used by virtually every make or detector.....I've seen a pre-release video on YouTube.
Looks very interesting, price around £100:00 or under..

Hi again Mark, thanks for the update on Z-LINK...Bit dearer than I expected but ..Hey,if it's any good it gotta be worth it,save all those bloody wires getting in the way...
Great to hear your getting the Mars coil, honestly, its a BRILLIANT..?And no more very expensive coil covers to buy...
I definitely decided not to upgrade to the RACER 2....Most people say it not worth extra cash.!!!!!......👍

I would not spend that sort of money on Bluetooth system.
You can get a 'COOLEAD' portable stereo music Bluetooth transmitter. (Amazon £11.99) complete with a jackplug and USB charger.
You can then used Bluetooth headphones, I use Philips SMB7150 (they have probably been superseded by now) I had them to use with my iPad, they were about about £30.
I have been using the above for about 2 years with my E-trac and Garrett with no problems, transmitter and headphones will last more than 8 hours with full charge, you may need an adapter from a small jack plug to the larger one used on most metal detectors (available from Maplin), people will tell you there is a time delay, it may be very slight, but as you are swinging both ways over the target it makes no difference
