                           Got back to Rhyl from Kinmel Bay on Saturday and after tea the wife asked me to get the batteries for her mobility scooter from the car boot. No problem there thinks I and pops to the car to retrieve said batteries. Battery number one was out and about three feet of the ground when a resounding snap signaled danger and the carrying handle broke completely. Gravity being what it is, the battery fell directly onto my right foot.

                           The toe next to the little toe is some-what larger than normal and has changed color considerably. Lucky for me, I was standing on soggy water logged grass and I think that helped to absorb some of the impact. Had I been standing on concrete, I'm pretty sure the toe would have been both broken and burst! Must be my lucky week. Smiley

Mmmm I would suggest if it has swollen that much and changed colour it is more than likely fractured.
Mind you saying that there is nothing you can do for broken toes anyway, I speak from bitter experience on more than one occasion. Painful to say the least.
Did the wife partially saw through the handle in an attempt to stop you going detecting 😀🙈
