Hi Folks
Me and Ron spent the day on one of our permissions and had a few bits and pieces.  I had what looks like an Edward hammered and a Georgie Bullhead sixpence within a yard of each other.  Then just a few pennies and halfpennies along with the usual scrap and unidentifiables.  Ron had a very nice lead token amongst his finds and what could be a sestertius.  The crotal bell was found on a day out in Dorset (and it was my only decent find on the day).
At the moment we have ploughed, seeded, rolled, pasture and stubble so spoiled for choice really.  Where to go next?  Decisions! Decisions!  It's just nice to be out in the countryside enjoying our hobby, the scenery, the wildlife and the fresh air.  Happy Digging!!!  Tom.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and the Doc especially for his ID of the Edward coin. Very much appreciated.  Cheers.  Tom.

Thanks 'Spikey'
We try to spend a bit of time down your way.  We have approx. 2000 acres to search in Somerset with hill forts/camps and tumuli, but it's a long way for us to travel so we don't get down there as often as we'd like to. We don't seem to find much either, even though the farmers reckon no one else has detected there. Cheers.  Tom.
