Folks,

Detected a sports field this morning managed a broken crotal bell, a buckle from a rifle sling I believe and a plated gold ring shows GF 10k inside the band...there should be a law against bogus jewelry... Grin Grin

Now that surprised me Bill. wouldn't have expected crotal bells to turn up over there. Don't know why though, I s'pose they would have gone over with some of the settlers. Any idea on age ?
Cheap rings are always a bit of a let down but I always think it proves you can find a good one if its there.

Val,

Lots of crotal bells turn up over here they were used probably until about 1900 give or take....I'd say this one is probably late 1800's but just a guess on my part.
