Found this silver token yesterday, I have found copper trade tokens before but never a silver one, I'll probably never find another one, it's 20mm in diam, thanks for looking.

Well found Geoff,very nice piece of English coin(token) history,especially for it to be silver,gotta admit I've never seen one of those before......very nice find.....👍

I sent all the details to my local FLO and asked if he could record it for me, reply came back, "probably wont record it", which was a surprise to me.

They are indeed a rare enough find. I actually found one myself a few years ago, this is the only one I've seen posted here to my knowledge. Nice.  Cool

A really nice and also a unusual find.

Its years since I had the pleasure of handling a Silver Bristol Token.

It needs recording at Bristol museum. Wink Smiley  Jerry.

Thanks everyone for your comments, I know it's not got a lot of age, there is not one recorded in the Bristol or British museum, I thought it was an interesting find and part of the industrial revolution history, I will not try and record anything else on the PAS site other than anything that could be classed as treasure trove.
