Hi everyone, i need help with an ID of a item that MickyCoin found, the date on it is 1865 and it seems to have a butterfly or something similar underneath the year, any help will be greatfully recievied. The image was taken using a digital microscope, the item is about the size of a one pence piece.

Dave that is a excellent photo mate. Have no idea though. Could it perhaps not be a coin as we would use them and maybe a commemerative type coin or part of a medal or jewellery piece and this fell out. Will have a look for you see if I come up with a idea.

Though this is silver could it be something like this Dave. This is a 1865 papal issue Baiocchi from the Vatican. My best guess so far gents> One for the Doc I think.

dave the coin/??? is more like 1/2p size or smaller  it is well smaller than a 1/4 angel  which we sized against from spinks book.
