Hi, I'm Raul and I live in Portugal. I have 63 years old and I am retired. I only descovered this hobby 4 years ago. It is a pity..... Kiss My detectors are a AT Pro, Sov. GT and a CZ6a. I hope to learn with you. Thanks

Hi Raul. I am planning to spend a month in Portugal in the new year and was unsure about taking my detector, is it as simple as getting the landowners permission, or are there more complicated issues involved?.
Welcome to a great forum, you will learn a lot from it, in amongst the banter.

Good afternoon Raul and welcome to Detecting Wales. Plenty of people on here to offer advice and guidance to all us newcomers to the hobby of metal detecting. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of some of your detecting finds.

Stay safe, stay well, and happy hunting.

On the beach is forbiden.
On the field, Portuguese law is very, very restrictive, but  with permission from the land owners  we have not had  problems

On the beach is prohibited since 1997
Many people detect at night on the beaches but if the police see them can do the seizure the detector and the detectorist is obliged to pay a fine
