Nice find, I've tried to find a answer for you but have only come up the mint (I think) which is Pevensey and (wikipedia) was in use 1066 to 1100. I'm there are other out there who will be able to give additional or corrective info for you, again nice find.

Nice cut half Paul.

Smoo and Val - better go to Specsavers lol.

Paul, I think you have nailed it there, definitely John, London mint, moneyer Adam. The class could be 5b or 5c.

Yup - agree with the Doc Smiley - so often with cut shortcross you end up with either the moneyer or the mint, so it's good you've got the start of one and the end of the other.

Nice to find some shortcross in the vale too - I'm still waiting where I am Smiley - your's looks in really nice condition

Better to have tried and failed than not to have tried at all. (from Dogtanian I think) Glad the knowledgeable on here have the answer again, well done.
