Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and indeed to this hobby.
It's something I've wanted to start for years, but something always got in the way.
I now find myself with the time and finances to be able to pursue it.
I have 2 questions:
1) I live near Brecon, Powys - are there any clubs close to me?
2) I have a budget of around £600 which must buy me everything, so I'd really like some suggestions on kit if anyone can help.
Thanks

Hi Boyo, I'm 16 miles north of Brecon and bought a new detector last Christmas.
There's a club at Hereford and also a Maplins shop, with a range of 5 detectors.
I bought middle of the range at £80 ( looks like a Garrett 250). I'm well pleased
with the results so far, 38 coins, 2 medals and a bayonet.
I've only met others at a DW rally, which was well attended.
Enjoy searching for a detector, there's plenty to choose from. I rescued 1 from
a land fill site about 1980, it still works!
