I've got the x terra and have currently been running it with 4 tones selected, however I read an article where this chap has had better luck using just 2 tones.  What are the advantages/disadvantages of doing this please?
Thanks
Dean

I've read the same about the Deus. I assume if it's set up right what it means is you dig all the high tones and ignore all the low tones. Would save a lot of digging if that's the case but dangerous I'd say. You never know what you'd miss.

Yes I know what you mean, it would be good to hear from any x-terra pros out there tho and get their thoughts on it.

I run it with pattern 1 and only one tone. this means the discrim cuts out the low tones anyway and not having to split the tones means the machine is faster and i dig everything that beeps
