I see in Randy Horton's guide to understanding your x-terra he gives a list of target ID's for US coins, does anyone have a list of UK coin ID's please?
Thanks

Hi Dean,
I don't claim to be the worlds greatest detectorist or anything close!! I would offer the following thought/tip/advice however you may like to take it (or not) 😉
I've been using a 305 for 5 yrs now and in all honesty, I personally really wouldn't worry too much about what target ID numbers flash up.

I treat the ID as a helpful guide, but wouldn't take it as gospel, try to get accustomed to digging the high tones and the high/low mixed iffy signals and you won't go too far wrong. You will tend to find the low tones tend to be iron. But even those can be interesting finds in their own right.

Practice makes perfect and after a while your find what works best for you mate anyway!!

Happy Hunting!! 😄

Thank you Rich,
I need to get out more to be honest and get some practice in.
As you say practice will tell.
Thanks

I changed from a multi frequency Safari to a Deus last year. World of difference. Safari could play with any orchestra were as the Deus only has four tones. Really hard to get to grips with so I adopted a new rule, dig everything that even squeaked, numbers are only a guide.
Seems to work, don't miss much, even the rubbish can be interesting. No such thing as English numbers, all Minelabs were developed for the USA.

The only thing wrong with retirement is it means you've got old. Old age brings it's own friends with it  Cry

It gets in the way of all the things I want to do Chris but without it I couldn't do all the things I want to do  Smiley
If I could afford to retire I'd do it today! I wouldn't be bored I'm sure.
