Hi folks
Found this yesterday, approx 10 inches deep on pasture; euroace on jewellery setting.
Although it's not obvious in the photo, but the bottom half is highly decorated with what looks like animals and flowers. My questions are,

Could this be silver? (Spit/foil test no smell)

As it is so small and decorated, could it have been a special gift for a child.

Possible age.

Thanks in advance.

On further examination with a loupe,
I can make out a thistle and what looks like a shamrock.
Don't know if this helps with ID or age.

Well searched and found Artcat,I would guess at a child's name thimble, and hazard a guess at late 1700's
Very nice find indeed.👍

Thanks Dingdong,
After a bit of googling,
because of the flowers it could be a victorian commemorative ?
Cheers
