 Hi all,

New to the forum and new to detecting.
Have been given a garrett ace 250 as a present from my partner and kids and already been out, quite a few times actually. I have had some great finds already, much more than i ever thought id find in such a small space of time. A few of my finds are lots of coins, pennys, half pennies, three pence', half rupee, cap badges, buttons, bullets, a silver ring and much more, oldest item is dates 1854. Its got my itching to go back out again and hope the forum can give me info on all to do with the hobby! (Some intersing threads ive read so far)
Im hoping to find a hammered coin before the year is out, so will be joining a club and or attending rallies advertised here on DW.

Hi Local fisher,just a bit of encouragement, I found my first hammered coin with a Garrett ACE 250,a great very underestimated detector !!

I to was bought a garrett ace 250 from my wife and kids as my first detector and found a couple of hammered's and lots of goodies with it. I now have a Deus but have fond recollections of it. Now a friend of mine has it and has had some good finds with it so good hunting and enjoy.
