Darren invited me and Relicron to a few fields out country.  We arrived nice and early, whilst the weather was fairly dry....great!  Unfortunately the fields were new grass on plough which made them extremely soggy.  Perseverance for a few hours, then the heavens opened and we made a speedy exit.  A few finds were tickled from the mud during the time we spent on the fields.  I had a couple of finds which I thought interesting and which I cleaned and researched at home later.  Being an ex shooter I really like the 12 bore cartridge extractor which dates from the mid 1800's and is Popes Patent 12.  The first one I've ever seen.  Along with the finds in the photos I had £2.20 new money for our kitty.  Ron and Darren had a few bits and pieces also.  A BIG THANK YOU to Darren for inviting us along and it was such a pity that the weather put paid to our day out.  Happy Digging!!!  Tom.
Anybody got any idea what the small 'pawn' looking piece is please?Huh?  Cheers.  Tom.

Thanks Dingdong,
It's great to have some feedback and it was great to get out in the fields.
