A few hours out

Spent a few hours out last wednesday and just cleaned up some of my finds, my very first cartwheel penny along with a piece of a roman brooch i think, a strange looking spindle whorl odd shaped and patterned, a small lead heart, a spoon with a figure head for handle and lots of odds and sods like the square thing that is hinged in a strange way. soory if pics are upside down

Just beat me to it with the 'Apostle' spoon, nice.  I think what you're referring to as a spindle whorl is the top off something ? 3 sided, can't think of what though.
Well done on the cartwheel. Great finding them, cracking signal.  Is the a Hammie at the top ?
You've got some good land there. Sure to be some nice finds to come.

Nice day out George, those spindle whorls with the "skirt " around them are quite common in N. Wales but not elsewhere. The weather is picking up a bit now so you should be able to get out more.
