If we had some of that, I would be at the beaches in Aberavon and Barry, it would mean the cold North Easterleys, have come down from the artic , perfect for the Gold lol. Ah they were the days 22ct 18ct lots of pre decimals..... Wink

Now Paul, you just hit the nail on the head.  North Easterly winds.  These winds we've been having haven't made much difference to the beaches because they've been Westerlys.  If anything they've brought the sand up.

I remember an elderly fella telling me that when he was a boy they had an huge storm from the East and next day his Dad, and others walked the beaches picking up items as they went.  His dad took a ring home and gave it to his Mom. Something they would never have been able to buy.

We didn't get that much snow but Mother Nature decided to blow it from my fields and dump it on the 40 feet between my truck and the road. (Prince Edward Island) Canada
