I can't be much help on dating as that beaded rope work seems to last from the mid 4th through to the 7th century...lovely find Wink

Yes Val, where would we be with out his research & knoledge. I don't know why I just about convinced my self it was Roman Roll Eyes should have kept a more open mind still after 30 odd years detecting I'm still learning  Wink and that's why this is a wonderful hobby. Always difficult to be accurate from a photo. That's why more eyes are helpful. Especially male and female. Always surprises me what a different perspective a man puts on things.  Like John often says, he' not always right but he's never wrong  Roll Eyes

Looks like the weather is going to give us another hammering from tonight, all day tomorrow and Sunday,  AGAIN.  Angry
