noticed on the series ...Detectorists ...a jewelers eye piece ( well I think that's what there called) had a quick look on Google and seen there are lots of different makes and magnifications ...anyone know what make and magnifications is good for detector finds coins etc ?

go to your local jewellers and ask to buy one, or local market £2.50 normaly if your struggling ill send you one

As Ruistain will not read this, for the benefit of others that may not know. It's called a loupe or eye loupe, I find a 10X suitable for most items.

Thank you Grug that was clear and helpfull and I even impressed the man in the jewelers asking for a 10x loupe and he said your right about the 10x anything over 10x would not be of much use for my needs  Wink

I always try to help, maybe a bit pedantic sometimes.
If you want to see some very close up detail,, I was given a
2-LED 45X Mini Adjustable Portable Microscope MG10081-4 w/ A Black Case they are less than a fiver and available off Amazon.

Hi all I just got 2 from Amazon one for me and one for soninlaw 30 and 60* magnification for £7ish each, each lens also has a little light.
