Or Sovereign XS or XS2 or just the original Sovereign they are all identical in performance it's only the controls they shifted around to build desire for the "new" model Wink

I agree with the guys in my experiance  Minelabs rule the beaches, you may have to opt for the Xs or xs2 unless your lucky Lol for your price limit, but as Geoff said there all the same when Fired up ready for action, also if you really get in to the beaches consider buying a 15" Wot coil, for the extra coverage and bit more depth, I used this combination for a long time, with great results. Good luck. Wink Oh as dingdong has pointed out there heavy with control box mounted ( good old minelab they still don't listen to users a bought the weight ) so hip mount it makes a huge difference just make sure you secure the lead to stop pulling on or near the plug to control box connector.  Wink

My sov elite thats now 10  ish years old and still working fine u can hip mount control box. Has anyone ever tried mods on the se pro to have the control box seperate, now that would be useful  Grin

Although I use the lighter Deus on plough and sometimes on pasture, I could never seem to master detecting on the beaches with Deus.
