Hi Digger Dave,Hemm!!!the only thing I can suggest is that they are some extrusion dyes,used in extruding metals,pvuc,couldveven be used in the fabrication of sweet products,even dog biscuits !!!.
Are they made out of stainless steel !!

Nice little collection there Dave they are the key-ways from barrel taps and yes the keys were that shape  Wink
