As a newbie im confused as to the practical uses of quickmask on the E-Track.I have read the page on it in the manual but dont really get the idea.... anyone give an example of use in the field ?

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy The quick mask isn't used that much in the UK as we don't tend to use block discrimination like they can in the USA or Australia, basically it's a second discrimination pattern which is less than your main one which you can switch between to try and get a better idea of what "iffy" signals are Wink

Thanks .....feel stupid asking sometimes but ive only ever used a White's Prizm 4 and thats only for a few months and as i guess you know there totaly diffrent machines worlds apart .... Roll Eyes

I use quick mask just as all metal mode, open screen, flick between screens, after doing a patch, I believe it gives slightly more depth, plus with a iffy signal, you can adjust your discrimination while over the object.
