Hi again all  Grin found my first old coins today and im over the moon...... first one was a 1918 one penny and then came 3 two shilling coins dated 1951 , 1954 and 1964. I found them in an old swing park just up the road from me. Really getting hooked on this new hobby now wooooohooooooo......happy hunting all !

jolly well done my son.   lol ,  hey thats good going mate, especially for a first,  your spoiled lol,

someones sat back at one time and they have rolled out of their pockets i expect,  i found a hole last time down the beach like that, 4 chubbies, 1 x £2 coin and a couple of 20s and coppers from the same hole.
 keep it going now,  low and slow,
 all the best for some more,

Well done Love Doc. The first finds are the best as it shows you and the detector are working in tandem. If its in the ground you will find it.

iv#'e got a couple of silver ones too,  but if those 3 x 2 shilling pieces need cleaning then soak them in vinegar  with a pinch of salt in for a few hrs,  then give them a wash off and wipe down
