Me and Ron left the house in the pouring rain yesterday morning armed with detectors etc. and our wet gear, as we were expecting the rain to continue most of the day.  By the time we arrived at our farm in Herefordshire the rain had stopped but it was blustery.  We started detecting on some rape and then onto some winter wheat.  Lots of signals everywhere, though mostly scrap.  Buttons by the bucketload and some pennies, halfpennies and farthings for the both of us.  Then Ron had a stroke of luck!, an eyes only Lizzy silver hammered.  I swear that if he fell in the nearest wet cowpat, he'd come out smelling like David Beckhams aftershave.!!  Then he found a lovely Vicky shilling and a George v silver thruppence.  Me!,  I found no silver at all, just more buttons, 26 in-all.  Was a good day with lots of laughs and very mucky boots.  After a wash down at the hose pipe we departed, then the heavens opened again and it poured down all the way home.  Happy Digging Everyone!!!!   Cheers.   Tom.

Thanks Dingdong,
It was indeed a good days 'tecting' in spite of the horrendous weather conditions.  The cobwebs were certainly blown away.  Hopefully Ron will post his finds too!!  Because he had more or less the same amount as me (plus a few silvers the lucky blighter!  Thanks for looking.  Cheers.  Tom.

Thanks Guys
Me and Ron could possibly be called detecting fanatics.  We take every opportunity to get out on the land, no matter what the weather.
Saying that....we could be a pair of absolute crazies!!!  MMMM!!!
Here's hoping for better weather on the weekend.
Happy Digging!!  Tom.
