The detecting gods was certainly looking down on me yesterday as was the sun. I cant remember having such a successful and varied days detecting. Every thing came from a sloping field in crop, conditions were perfect and the Deus fired rite up and on form. The silver stater is well struck , the Hod hill brooch has been silvered, the 3 small roman are in cracking condition with fine portraits although fairly common, however it wasn't till I got home and cleaned them up that I realized they are probably a purse drop or deposit of some kind as they were close together, needs more careful searching I reckon. For me however it's the roman ring that I like the most as its personal and on that note any one any ideas as to the inscription ?? I have to say this field has produced more this year with the Deus than my previous searches with the Minelab with out a doubt, just my observation and I love the Minelabs...Lol.
